Restrictions:
Pilot can complete the tour only with presence of one Slovenian controller online. Flights without ATC coverage are not counted as completed tour legs. That means pilot should be in contact with ATC all the time during his flight. Exception is Rijeka airport, when pilot can switch to Unicom while arriving to Rijeka if Rijeka Approach / Zagreb Radar is not online.
IFR tour can be flown any time when one ACC controller, or TWR/APP controller on your origin and destination airport is working within LJLA FIR (LDRI, LJSG excluded). We recommend you to fly this tour each Friday or Saturday from 1800Z to 2100Z, when the Slovenian online or training daya are in progress and ATC is constantly online. If you are planning the tour any other day, ask the controller for his service time before your flight. Legs can be also flown separately i.e. on different days.
ACFT type:
On this tour Dash 8 or smaller jets are recommended. Check the Slovenian airport charts before starting your tour to check if all airports have sufficient runway length for your type of airplane. For completing the IFR Tour, pilots shall be fully equipped with all our Charts.
Nonacceptance of one or more legs can be issued if:
- pilot is not sufficiently equipped with the Charts or not informed about e-AIP
- pilot is using time compression for any operation, overspeeding below 10.000 FT or exceeding maximum taxi speed.
- unappropriate airplane for a destination is chosen
Completing the tour:
After completing the whole tour, our ATC will collect data from your flight. No flight report needs to be sent. you will achieve the Division IFR Tour award in 10 days after finishing it. If the award still isn't issued, ask staff by E-mail si-adir(at)ivao.aero for the problem.
Slovenian VFR division tour
Pilots, flying VFR tour, will achieve Division VFR award by the same restrictions as for IFR division tour. Recommended type of ACFT is for example Cessna or Beechcraft, etc. VFR flights should be completed in presence of Radar or FIS ATC controller in Slovenia.
Recommended days for completing the tour are Fridays (division training days) and Saturdays. Ask controller for his service time if you are flying this tour any other day.
Pilots can also complete the tour with TGLs. Full stop landing is not mandatory for VFR tours.
